This collection is composed primarily of correspondence, as well as budget records, newspaper clippings, press relases, meeting notes, exhibition schedules, and scientific collecting permits. The collection documents the activities of Acting Director of the Los Angeles County Museum, Charles F. Gehring from 1946-1970 and incldues correspondence regarding Hancock Park, exhibitions development, quarterly reports, and capital building projects.
